training began when she was accepted into
the prestigious NanYang Academy of Fine
Arts, Singapore. After graduating from the
Academy, she continued teaching there for
seven years. In 1985, NanYang awarded
Cindy a scholarship to further her studies in
the United States, where she earned a
Masters Degree in Studio Art.

Cindy immigrated to San Jose, California in
1989. She teaches and creates artwork from
her studio in Almaden Valley.

Cindy's artwork has been her life's passion.
Finding inspiration from the beauty of
nature, fascinating objects, and wonderful
people, her paintings include a large variety
of landscapes, still-life, and portraits.

She works with different mediums, but has
found oil has been her true love. With
training in traditional Western and Chinese
art forms. Cindy combines the two to

develop her unique paintings style, known as realistic impressionism. She applies
paint in a sensuous manner, using vivid brush strokes, brilliant light and rich colors

Cindy has participated in many museum shows, open juried show, gallery show, as
well as private and corporation offices show. Her artwork has been in numerous
private and corporate collections.
